About GCCI
Global Cancer Concern India (GCCI), is a premier NGO working nationwide, dedicated to the cause and care of Cancer sufferers. It is a registered, secular, apolitical and non-profit organization.
GCCI is working nationwide for cancer care. Our activities range from advocating preventive measures, creation of awareness, timely detection and diagnosis, promoting palliative care in homes and institutions and rehabilitation of cancer stricken families, their dependents and destitute children.
India has one of the largest number of cancer patients today. Owing to various reasons, eighty percent of cases are diagnosed in an advanced stage due to lack of awareness and non-recognition of cancer symptoms and also lack of adequate and affordable treatment facilities.
With well defined objectives and a clear vision of its destination, GCCI steps in with a number of programmes for mitigation of suffering and also ensure dignity of life and painless departure of cancer victims. Through timely and meticulous planning for making countrywide sensitization, Awareness Campaigns, Cancer Screening and Detection Camps, launching Mobile Home Care Teams, impart training to carers, vocational training to the dependents of cancer bereaved needy families and adoption of destitute children of cancer patients to facilitate them to continue their education are some of the vital goals of GCCI.
GCCI helps a number of NGOs, Hospitals and Cancer related establishments for execution of projects/programmes for effective management of cancer to foster healthy and pain free life styles for the patients. The relentless efforts of GCCI to combat cancer result in the development of an effective nationwide network.
GCCI builds a lasting relationship with Doctors, Corporates, Donors, Supporters, Collaborators and other well-wishers based on trust and understanding to fight cancer and save precious human lives.
GCCI applies highest standards of ethics in all its programs and activities especially in rehabilitation of cancer afflicted families dependents and provide limited financial assistance to the indigent sections of society.
GCCI creates and nurtures a culture that supports flexibility and learning which are proactive to the changing and demanding scenarios.
GCCI values the opportunities and responsibilities given to it by the well-wishers, beneficiaries and donors. From this philosophy, GCCI churns out meaningful and positive changes in the lives of cancer patients.
