The Season of Love
All the male birds are busy making nests as the season of love is approaching. The male birds make the nests and females come to choose their mates by the beauty of the nests. The most beautiful female chooses the male with most beautiful nest. Then the pair spends the winter enjoying the warmth of the nest and singing the songs of love. At end of the season they depart to meet in the next season of love. This happens every year.
The most handsome male bird, the hero of the story was working very hard to make most beautiful nest. He loves Jasmine, the most beautiful female and his wish to attract her. Finally he completed the most beautiful nest and was waiting for Jasmine. Then came the singer bird who was not so beautiful but a sweet singer. She saw the nest and got impressed. She then saw our hero and fell in love with him. She came to him and proposed him with a very beautiful song. But our hero who is waiting for Jasmine rejected her proposal saying that she was not worth to be his partner and his right partner was the most beautiful Jasmine.
The singer bird broke into tears. She love him and now she cant choose any one. So, she settled on a branch of the tree singing sad songs. Jasmine chooses the hero as his was the most beautiful nest. They spent the winter happily making love. But the poor singing bird spent the whole season on the branch suffering the winter winds. Finally the season came to an end. All the females including the jasmine and the singer bird left to come back in the next season.
This time our hero’s love doubled. So, he decided to make a more beautiful and stronger nest. So he started the work very early. But he became ill and couldn’t complete the nest. He slept in the half completed nest unconscious with no one to take care of. Jasmine came along with the season of love. She watched the half completed nest and went away without a second thought. She chooses another mate with a beautiful nest. The singer bird couldn’t leave our sick hero in the winter. She worked hard in the freezing winds to complete the nest. She also fetched some food for hm. But our hero was not in a state to identify the singer bird. All the night the singer bird sang beautiful songs to him which filled the nest with her warmth of love.
When the season was coming to an end the singer bird became week and fell down from the tree and died. Our hero became well by the end of the season surprised to see the nest. It was the most beautiful and strongest. But he never knew that it was made by the singer bird.
The nest ruined never and the hero was chosen for ever by Jasmine. The singer bird’s body decomposed and became manure to the tree and it grew more beautiful.
